Hi folks, Scott with msisshinryu.com here. I haven't been all that active with the site lately, but I wanted to see if I could get some assistance from any visitors.
I am heading to Cambodia in June on a church mission trip. I will be visiting a center dedicated to helping Cambodian kids out of the sex trade. The total trip cost is approx 2500.00 so far. I hate asking for help, but in this case I have to do so.

All, I have recently become hit hard with the reality of human trafficking around the world. It is a subject I have been aware of for a long time, but until recently, have never put a lot of thought into.
My church is affiliated with an International Outreach Ministry that is works in conjunction with a couple of different organizations to help combat pedophiles, provides education and after-care environment for rescued children, research into educational and training methods.
Project Starfish is an organization to help empower exploited women in Asia. The Project developed a socially responsible jewelry business in order to provide women with alternative employment and a range of holistic care opportunities. At the site, you can purchase beautiful jewelry these women have made. In addition, you can donate directly to the organization.
TraffickJamAsia helps raise funds to provide support for Hard Places Community. You can sign up as a sponsor for a Walk-a-thon, or simply donate directly to the organization using Paypal.
