Thanks everyone for another great camp in Hazlehurst, MS. I have added the pics from this past weekend. I will soon be adding some short video clips of some of the aikido techniques Novelle taught us. Check out the pics here!

I just wanted to keep you posted and let you know the seminar is still on for April 30th! I'm getting calls from all over the country,and if everybody shows up that say they're coming,it's gonna be a GREAT time to be an Isshinryu karateka at this event!!! I found out this afternoon,another first generation student,Master Tom Lewis,is planning to attend! Masters Lewis and Johnson both got their black belts at about the same time! SEMINAR LOCATION: Mandeville Karate Center 2050 Spartan Dr Mandevilel, LA 70448 Master Mitchum will be teaching (assisted by Master John Ingram), basics,bunkai, and empty-hand weapons. For the afternoon session, Master Johnson will teach self defense,with emphasis on kids,and bo basics. So....bring your bo's!!! One last thing to consider. The New Orleans Heritage and Jazz Fest will be in full swing while we're in the dojo! So come a day early, or stay a day (or two) later and enjoy some great music! Some of us are going on Sunday, so if you're interested, let me know,and we can go as a group! I'm also working on getting group rates at one of the local hotels. I'll keep you posted on that. PLEASE make plans,and try to make it to this VERY important event! Just think back and try to remember if you've EVER attended a seminar,where there were THREE first generation students! Eight Winds Aikido Society 20th anniversary celebration Weekend of April 15,16 & 17 Seminars, Demo's & Food They have a tentative itinerary for Sat. & Sunday. They will also have a Friday night class for the seminar ( adult class has been moved to Tuesday & Thursday 7:30 to 8:45pm).
